For that kind of low light photography Connie needs a better camera. She might try the reasonably priced Pentax K100D, $539 after rebate at B&H. The Pentax K100D comes with shake reduction that will permit pictures like this one to come out close to perfect without a tripod.
Oh for the love of God...Its just a picture. Hey 3:52, why don't you buy her that camera you love so much, and then she can take the kind of picture you want!
FYI, I did not post the 12:25 comment. I sign with,c.c. You can critisize till your hearts content but I guess I don't know why you have to attack me. What I liked about the pic was that it was not sharp and clear but a bit distorted and more like a painting than a photograph. I liked it but I know its not everyones cup-of-tea. I use a Sony Cyber-Shot but I do know someone who uses a Pentax and they are very happy with it.
Golly! Gee, sorry you feel that way Connie, actually Matt put your name to the picture on the blog and I assumed he had your permission.
I don't own Pentax equipment I just suggested it because of the blurry picture. I am though very familiar with digital pictures and picture taking. If you have a CyberShot camera then it probably has a setting for taking night pictures that may have served you better.
In the past before I had a better understanding of cameras and camera equipment I too would take pictures that didn't come out right and then say I meant to do that. There's no shame in it. All photographer have done it.
You are being way to sensitive about having taken a blurred picture. You're right though, it's just a picture. I honestly thought you needed some help.
Hey 12;10 9:38 are you Monica? I wrote the comment 12:25. I just thought you were just alittle too picky for my taste about that picture. I think Connie has a wonderful eye for art and a caring heart that loves to share her visions. I would hope you would not be so cruel to attack such a gifted artist. By the way, how do you know if Connie has or has not Glasses?
Not Monica. You all must be very sensitive to think these comments are an attack, yet I suppose if one considers a blurred night shot of the river as art, then it well might be an attack to you.
Do you always come after people who have an opinion or disagree?

No one said they didn't like the picture. Many are of the opinion the photo would have been much better had it been in focus.
