WFD/VFD Open House
Wellsville folks should take a respite from politics and attend the Wellsville Fire Department & Volunteer Fire Department Open House from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27.
On top of the snacks, give-aways, and raffles, an auto extrication demonstration will be held at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. This is a perfect opportunity to see the fire department, emergency vehicles, and your firefighters in action.

I am pretty sure that if Matt was to go and a few people were to attack him it would have been stopped. And people wonder why he makes comments about Wellsville. It is actions like this that keeps the fire burning. Matt doesn't have a problem with Wellville, just some of the people who make dumb ass comments and the happening that go on in Wellsville.
Just so you all know, I'm not the slightest bit intimidated by threats from jerk-offs. It has happened regularly since I started blogging three years ago and I'm still kicking. The way I see it, if a writer doesn't piss people off now and again, he's saying nothing.
I usually don't post the threats, but in this case, I thought it was important to show how desperate the Suracers have become. I understand that when all the news is bad and the frustration level is high, people tend to lash out at anyone who is handy, and it's pretty easy to type in anonymous threats on a local Web site.
I love Wellsville, and my many friends there know it. My concern is that with such a vacuum in the mayor's office, the town has become vulnerable to forces that, if left standing, will run Wellsville into the ground.
People often ask why I don't concentrate more on my own hometown of East Liverpool. In fact, I do, but the whiners refuse to see that. The difference is obvious: At this point in time, East Liverpool is run by people motivated by concerns for the public good. Of course, that could change, but at least in this election year, the Wellsville political scene is far more interesting than anywhere else in our area.
I feel strongly that the two sides in the Wellsville mayoral race represent the difference between competence and incompetence. It is no wonder that Mayor Surace refuses to answer questions about his record. From what I (and a whole lot of others) have observed, this has been an administration controlled by everyone BUT the mayor. And that is precisely why Wellsville needs a new mayor.
The Suracers have tried to characterize my analysis of Wellsville politics as some kind of personal vendetta. Last I looked, it is the Surace administration which has brought the art of personal vendetta to new heights. I need only two words to validate that point: Ed Wilson.
I don't know Matt personally, but, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.. DOING A GREAT JOB SEEKING OUT THE AHOLES IN THE VILLE..We do NEED A CHANGE.
So how about Bonnells signs? Go ELO. Are we voting for John Drumm? Do we know anything about the other candidates? Matt maybe you should move down to the ville. I dont know who to vote for.

Why anyone would want to live in Wellsville is beyond me. I drove through last week ; no auto parts store anymore, the hardware is now an auction house,the only full service gas station is gone. Except for Sav-A-Lot and a dollar store you may as well live in BFE.
Surely the Whore of Babylon will be riding the seven headed beast down Main street soon.

I agree that the E.L. law director's race is an interesting one. I know Mr. Payne but not Mr. Drumm. Even so, that's a race I'm going to look at much closer before I cast a vote.
Matt, on your "Pay attention, Look around" I left you a note, blog, message, whatever ya want to call it. I see you are still accepting anonymous bloggers. I wouldn't accept their comments, if they arn't man (or) woman enough to leave and identiy name, them don't accept their bullshit. Good job to the Morning Journal and Diane Dinch. You know a few years ago McClelland had to leave because he was there problem? I don't think so, the problem is still at city hall. 14 years of his service down the drain. He told Surace what the problem was, he told him to take charge. He didn't, now it's time for the people to take charge, and vote for change. Maybe Surace should listen to this experience. Have a good day!

They have a murder "suspect" in Wellsville, and they aren't looking for him, are they? This recent article says this man (William Keys Jr.) committed a violent act and they've even got the US Marshal involved. Well JC Amato told the police that HE SHOT HIS WIFE and killed her and they havn't even indicted him yet. What's going on here??? HELP ME UNDERSTAND And please consilare, not you please
