Hey Joe, waddaya know?
by M. Stewart
I watched most of the presidential “town hall” debate last night, and aside from McCain’s new idea for the government to buy up still more bad mortgages from people, it was all just more of the same old stuff from each candidate.
Most of what I’m seeing this morning in terms of polls and response suggests that Obama won, but we won’t really know that for another month. I will say that McCain looked and acted more like the desperate runner-up. In my view, the reason for his recent slip in the polls is Sarah Palin. Because it’s just so much fun to follow Sarah, let’s take a look at more of what she’s been up to.
Apparently, for the first time Palin has talked to the press corps that accompanies her on the campaign trail. Here’s how FoxNews—a news organization sympathetic to Sarah Palin and the Republicans—quoted the vice-presidential candidate:
“Americans are caring about the problems in the economy of course and wanting to know what those long term solutions are that our ticket can provide and what the other ticket is proposing so when you talk though about what it is that we are proposing and what it is that Barack Obama is proposing again it is relevant to connect that association that he has with Ayers–not so much he as a person Ayers, but the whole situation and the truthfulness and the judgment there that you must question if again he’s not being forthright in all of his answers as to how did you know him, when did you know him, why would you continue to be associated with him?” Palin asked.
I suppose somewhere in this gibberish is an idea, but it’s not easy to find. Hey Joe, waddaya know?
For some more insight into Sarah Palin, check out Unleashed, Palin Makes a Pit Bull Look Tame. Don’t want to read the whole thing? Here’s an excerpt:
“Palin's routine attacks on the media have begun to spill into ugliness. In Clearwater, arriving reporters were greeted with shouts and taunts by the crowd of about 3,000. Palin then went on to blame Katie Couric's questions for her ‘less-than-successful interview with kinda mainstream media.’ At that, Palin supporters turned on reporters in the press area, waving thunder sticks and shouting abuse. Others hurled obscenities at a camera crew. One Palin supporter shouted a racial epithet at an African American sound man for a network and told him, ‘Sit down, boy.’”
Below is a picture of Barack Obama posted on a conservative blog, Pleasant Valley Sunday:
Also on the blog is this prayer to St. Michael the Archangel:
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host - by the Divine Power of God - cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits, who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.

what a bunch of God fearing conservitives that I am so happy not to belong too!
Alas, we in the media have been blamed for everything, so this is nothing new.
I was blamed once for killing a city councilman (by hiw wife) after the 80-something old guy who smoked cigars like a chimney died of a heart attack.
It was my coverage of their controversial meetings that killed him, she said.
**sigh**
Were it only true that I had such power...I could devise a hit list.
It seems that republicans have no limit to how low they will stoop. I don't see Palin as funny like you do. She is sickening and dangerous.
Why is it the left always see Far Right Republicans as "dangerous," but have no problem with their own extremes?
I'm just throwing that out there as an observation.
I consider myself somewhat leaning to the right, and while I can't see a reason to vote for Palin, I'm laughing at the hysteria the left has whipped up around this beauty queen.
Seriously, you'd think that, if elected, Palin would be demanding weekly hunt downs of convicted criminals, or something (same thing they said about Bush -- Didn't happen). But if Obama is elected, world peace will reign, global warming will halt immediately and the value of your house will double overnight.
Guess what? Ain't gonna happen. Your life will be little changed no matter who gets elected. So let's try and look at things from a less hysterical standpoint.
We're screwed and we're all gonna die. There. Feel better now?
Brian
She needs to go back to Alaska and crawl back under the igloo that she crawled out from.
"Cream of Socialism" would be better. LOL.
There is first of all no difference betwen Democrats and Republicans, I was taught that by a great Economics teacher once!!!It's irrelovant to think so!!! Both members of the parties want to see their candidate elected and that is the bottom line!!! I never voted for a particular party in any election because I believe that a person should vote for the right person for the position not the party!!I saw Tuesday night a older more dedicated man (sometimes he wavered a little in his stance when walking toward the audience) who I feel is more experienced and ready to lead!! Obama only says the things we as Americans want to hear and that is all. The cost is something he doesn't explain well!! There is a price we will have to pay no matter what in this election and I'm not sure I want to pay that price that Obama is offering. I don't condone his not honoring the flag by not placing his hand over his heart!! I don't like the fact that he was a member of a church whose pastor puts down our country. Despite our countries faults it's still the best country in the world!! The one biggest thing that bothers me is the way he conducts his rallies and gets our young people so enthused with his speaches, it is almost Hitler like, saying again what they want to hear to obtain their votes.
The people will speak in November and we will all have to live with that choice!! If that choice is based on Sarah Palin's lack of experience so be it but John Mccain stands for America and I can't believe that he would deliberately lead us down a path that America should not be going. He is older yes and could die in office but Obama could be assasinated or die from a heart attack, life is full of if's.But there is one thing I belive in and thats America and either way, no matter what the best candidate by far in my moral and intelligent, gut feelings I cannot vote for Obama!! As for the rest of you people think about what I have written here read what Obama has said and trully ask yourselves "How can we pay for the things he is proposing even if they ever did make it to Congress for a vote?" There is only one way taxes!! The national debt is attrocious, but it will get no smaller under Obama only larger!! I will give Clinton credit he shrank our national debt. Then 9/11 happened and sacrifices should have been made to pay for what we had lost instead the President said life should not change, well none of our lives wee the same after that like it or not!! We must pay a price for our greed and our spending when the country needs our help!! It was done in the past as our forefathers did during the depression. Times our changing and we must chose a leader with sound ideas and a heart that will make America sound again, not someone with fake promises and low ideals!!
Your vote is yours use it wisely!!
Brian--
I agree with Breaker in saying someone like Sarah Palin is dangerous. First of all, she's a complete idiot, and she could end up as president. Secondly, the kind of thing she's been saying about Obama--that he's a terrorist particularly--whips up the worst fears in people. If some of those people are unbalanced (and we know they are), she could be responsible for inciting violence, even assassination. The kind of rhetoric she is using is indeed dangerous, not to mention irresponsible and silly.
I'd planned to sit this election out before Sarah Palin came on board. Now I must support Obama for no other reason than we just can't have this Palin nut anywhere near the White House.
"Seriously, you'd think that, if elected, Palin would be demanding weekly hunt downs of convicted criminals"
Yeah, probably from a helicopter like she supposedly hunts poor, defenseless wolves and animals. How unsportsmanlike is that?
My favorite quote from the debate was McCain saying to Obabam "We don't have time for on the job training my friend". Priceless!!! But I'm sure Obama knows more than McCain an Palin. He's already been to 57 states.
Matt, Just out of curiosity, when did Palin say that Obama was a terrorist? I believe what she said was that she questions his judgment because he hung around with terrorists. I really don't that is radical thinking. I to question who he hangs around with. William Ayers and his wife are both terrorist. Obama did associate with them. Even though the actions were in the 60’s, he still says today that he wished he had done more. Obama did sit in a church for 20 years that spewed hatred for the United States. What about Obama campaigning for Odinga of Kenya in 2006. These are all legitimate concerns. Not just from people who are right wing wackos.
You're right. I think we should demand that the weekly hunts are only with bow and arrow.
Brian
M,
So you are the Supreme Judge of the Land to determine who is and isn't an "idiot." Hmmmm...is it all that edumacation that gives you that "power?"
Explain to us HOW she is an "idiot." Is it her audaciousness to go after the sleaze in her own party? Is it her ability to hunt and fish as well as any man? Is it her executive experience in running a state govt. (which B. Hussein Obama DOESN'T have)? Is it her ability to be a mom to 4 children while running same govt.? Is it her ability to literally work her way from the bottom up to even be considered for the vice presidency? In reality, the idiots are the one on SNL who try to make her look like an idiot!
Perhaps you ought to consider whether B Hussein is the idiot...he has done NOTHING to consider him ready to be the leader of this country.
The military DESPISES him bedcause of his comments about our troops in Afghanistan...so if he's elected it's gonna be a JOKE to have him as Commander in Chief!
She wouldn't be "demanding" rounding up of convicted criminals (like that's a bad thing)...she would hunt them down herself!
B Hussein would pardon them all...or let 'em teach in preschools.
Obama quotes...right out of his book "Dreams of My Father":
"I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites."
"There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white."
"It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names."
Sounds a little racist to me.
Sign me up Matt, I like the way you think!!!!HAHAHAHAHH
It's 1968 over and over and over and over again. The United States of America is bankrupt people!!!! Life will never be the same again.
What Sarah Palin supports is weekly or daily aerial hunt-downs of wolves and bears, in Alaska. I know a lot of you out there will say, So what, they're animals. But I saw a video stream tonight that sickened me. It was aerial hunting of wolves and bears in Alaska -- woo hoo, she the big hunter of moose and elk. Hurrah for the NRA. It was the most sickening display of man overpowering animal in their natural habitat that I have ever seen in my life. And STILL, I will vote for McCain. ONLY because Barack Obama is a LIAR. Many of you Ohioans (the Bubba voters who have always voted Democrat), can't vote for him because he's African American. Well, rest your minds. He's NOT African American . . .he's 50% caucasian, and 44% Egyptian or something like that, but he's no way black and is, in fact, more white than anything. Another he claims in his own book is that he is stronger on foreign relations simply because he grew up overseas. Well, he lived in Indonesia from 6-10 years old, couldnt' speak the language, so, hello? Oh, by the way, during those years, he did study the Koran. Then, he did live in Africa (Kenya, to be exact) where he claims that his father was a goatherder. His father was, in fact, part of one of the most terroristic and corrupt governments Kenya has ever seen. He claims that his grandmother was Christian. She gets up, by her own account, every morning at 5:00 a.m., to give her Muslim prayer. And by the way, what kind of Christion would support her being a wife of 14????? Barack Obama has been, will be, and is a Muslim. His wife, Michelle, did make him shift to Christianiyt only to make him viable for public office. Does that mean he can't be president of our United States? Certainly not. But just break down the origin of his name. Barack -- I think it comes from the Arab Baraca, which means blessed. Hussein, his middle name, is certainly Arabic. Obama . . . well, again, Arabic.
This man supports a reverend who calls our country the US of KKK. Obama was no defender of our constitution, he was only a lecturere of what it means. He was no authoritative lawyer standeing up for American rights . . . again, only a lecturer when the professor coudln't be there. Don't let Obama tell you he was ever professor of ANYTHING. He also says that he was "BORN" from the Selma March. Well, that took place in '64, and he was born in the same year as me . . . '61. And Selma didn't bear him . . . his mother and father did. Stupid. So, it took him four more years to be enlivened? Give me a break. Barack, just shut up. Every time you open your mouth, you just scare me more. Who the hell are you, and what do you stand for, really? And to think I changed my life-long Republican standing to Independent just to vote against Hillary in favor of you . . . . man, I truly, SINCERELY wish it was a McCain/Clinton campaign now. At leeast with her, I could know I had someone on the American side -- no dealings with internal terrorists. With her, the most we had to deal with was the Democrats and hubby Bill, but hell, I'd take him over Obama.. .don't want the Arabs Barack will bring. Oooooooh, I shake in my shoes at the potential of President Obama. Does that sound AMERICAN? Look up on Google terryandersonbatack, or terryandersonobama. . . . you will see the LIESs.
I'm not against hunting. I am against hunting animals for sport with a helicopter or even to "weed out" the herd/pack. It just is not sportsmanlike and gives me a bad taste in my mouth for someone who would do it.
Desperado Ma, your vitriol comes straight from the internet. Your ignorance is appalling. NONE of what you say is true. I suggest you drop another ice cube in your glass of wine.
hehehehehee . . do you not realize I already see the responses coming when I write what I do? Too funny, too predictable. Sounds like you're the one who needs a glass of wine, or a shot of whiskey, or a good 'ole beer! Again, I know I'm opening the door . . . and again, so predictable. You know me, and I know you. LOL!
what's an american name, you hick? drop an ice cube in her glass of wine, you say? shit, try Mad Dog 20/20 or PBR. What a piece of White Trash filth, this desperado ma is.
Knew I was opening the door. hehehe. You GUYS keep biting. Guess I get under yur craw (talkin' white trash now). I feel justified that you capitalized it!
