This topic is almost like one giving an opinion on a religion. Many users are as bigoted about computer equipment and software as they are about race, religion and politics. Now let me show my own bigotry. More than thirty years ago, I built my first home computer. They were only available in kit form in those days. I built a system based on a Motorola CPU rather than the most popular home system on the market. I thought the Motorola CPU was a better design. My system didn't have much software written for it and it flopped in the market place. I quickly learned that the best product isn't always the best choice. Intel and MS prevailed in the market place. The downside of going with the winner in the internet era is that the attackers look for the biggest target. Most computer attacks make their way into a system via MS products. As a compromise, I use Windows for convenience and the availability of applications and drivers, but I've adopted Firefox for a browser. I feel Firefox lessens the chance of getting hit with malware and it seems to be very compatible with the sites I visit. I've tried Chrome, Safari and Opera, but I still think Firefox serves my purposes better. Chrome is still in the Beta stage. The way Google operates, it may forever be in the Beta stage. Look and Gmail. Chrome doesn't always work with add-ons. I must admit that I haven't taken the time to give Safari and Opera a good workout. MS requires you to use IE to download software from the MS site. Since I use Firefox, I also use Thunderbird as an email client for the same reasons I stated earlier.

I just discovered that Chrome is out of Beta. I'll have to give it another try.

I could NEVER go to a seminar hosted by a BROWNS fan!!! ;)

Is anyone aware of a web site where we could access information on events that are scheduled at Coffee Fusion?

Often, I hear about the events when it's too late or after I've already made plans. It would be nice to know about them early enough to plan to attend.

I wish him well, but I'm curious as to how large of a turn out there will be this holiday weekend.
