Banjo-- Alanis Morissette's first album, "Jagged Little Pill" (1995) launched her adult career as a singer-songwriter, and it remains her best recording. Her second album, "Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie" also was very good work, but her subsequent break with producer Glen Ballard brought significant changes, mostly for the worse. Her third and fourth albums have their moments, but clearly the old Ballard magic is not present. She hasn't produced anything noteworthy since 2005.

She's new to me. She doesn't have it anymore?

I wonder if adulthood for me began when I understood and accepted that there was a business side of music.
You may be on to something there, Banjo. Very good point.
